Regarded as the greatest quick-change artist in the world, two-time Olivier Award nominated Italian illusionist Arturo Brachetti brings SOLO to the Edinburgh Fringe, returning for the first time since 2006. The UK premiere of this magical journey sees over 50 characters come to life through astonishing illusions, mind boggling transformations and mesmerising magic as Arturo shares his fantasies and dreams with the audience.

This jam-packed show sees the Guinness World Record-breaking quick-change artist bring to life a range of iconic characters. Shifting from one role to another in the blink of an eye, Arturo’s seamless costume changes, expressions and perfected mannerisms will see characters from Madonna to Batman to Sherlock Holmes join the stage. His costume changes won the record for being less than two seconds, and he has also won accolades for being the most active quick-change performer, with over 250,000 changes achieved so far in his career. Arturo is also a member of the Inner Magic Circle, a club restricted to the 300 most important illusionists of all time, living and otherwise.

With Arturo Brachetti, always expect the unexpected as quick change meets enchanting shadow puppetry and sand painting, against a kaleidoscope of lights and lasers. Performed worldwide to over 720,000 spectators, Arturo’s talent is undeniable. In SOLO, the real and surreal, truth and fiction, magic and reality collide as Arturo uses poetry and emotion to take us to his very special, ever-changing, fantasy land.

It is a simple trick but a jaw-dropping one. A man stands onstage and in the blink of an eye his black tuxedo becomes a white tuxedo. He spins in the air unaided. An old man becomes a young man. Prepare to be amazed by the unique Arturo Brachetti, the fastest quick-change artist in the world. In his native Italy… [Arturo Brachetti] is an arena-filling superstar (The Times).
