Ever wondered how Greek God, Zeus, would oversee the modern-day world? Well it’s obvious when you think about it, he’d assign all of those new-fangled things like dating apps, recreational drugs and Instagram to his daughters.  And, so begins A Voyage of The Easy Sisters, an hour-long romp from the heights of Mount Olympus to the depths of the Underworld.

It all starts off rather cinematic, but we soon learn it’s just like any other day on Olympus, with the Easy Sisters (Bambi, Debbie, Sindy and Mandy) drinking prosecco and talking about the previous night’s escapades.  They decide to hold a BBQ for all of the other Gods and Heroes, but Debbie secretly invites Hades, who she’s been having an affair with.

Before long Hades has used Debbie to set in motion an evil plan to open a Hell Mouth, and it falls to the Easy Sisters to save the world, in between landing a date and live tweeting the events…hashtag awkward! Luckily the Easy Sisters all have different personalities (slutty, ditzy, bossy and so on) and powers, which they can combine.

Anabel, Alice, Megan and Mike, also known as Fridge Magnet; play the demi-goddesses, plus a host of secondary characters, which results in some rather manic costume changes, but it’s all integrated to the plot and makes for good honest comedy.

A Voyage of the Easy Sisters is an hour of zany madness, which doesn’t take itself too seriously; think The Golden Girls meets Charmed. The odd joke falls flat, but on the whole, it’s a really enjoyable show. This brand of humour won’t be to everyone’s taste but it has been well thought out and fairly well executed.
