Pottervision – a ridiculous recreation of Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone full of DIY props, charity shop costumes and wizarding wigs comes to the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough next month.
Four performers are all set to recreate the story but when two of them drop out on the day (and take all the props and costumes with them), Tom Lawrinson and Lukas Kirkby must go it alone and make do with the limited resources they have.
With DIY props, charity shop costumes and both performers having to play multiple characters, Pottervision is a wig-changing, wizard-impersonating, audience-immersing Ford Anglia ride through all the ridiculousness of that first magical movie.
What could possibly go wrong? There’s only one way to find out: come and see Pottervision at the SJT! Appropriate for ages 16+ (contains adult language and dark humour), Pottervision is a fantastical spectacular for everyone from the most casual fan to the most avid squib.
Pottervision can be seen at the SJT at 7.45pm on Friday 10 February. Tickets, priced from £10, are available from the box office on 01723 370541 and online at www.sjt.uk.com
