There’s more to kitchens than family recipes, and more to life than just following instructions given to you.
Jennie recently moved to London, inheriting an old makeshift kitchen from her distant relatives from a culture she never quite got to know. She uses it as an opportunity to learn more about herself and her family but when looking through old family recipes that have been passed down, Jennie encounters information that circles a hole that she’s been trying to cover up, an unwanted stain in her life she can’t quite get off the walls…
Packed with real stories, borrowed utensils, and secret ingredients, The Cardboard Kitchen Project is a cross-cultural one-woman play by Singaporean company FK Co-Lab.
The Cardboard Kitchen Project is at The Lion and Unicorn Theatre 19th and 20th August 2019.
