Tiger at VAULT Festival

Tiger at VAULT Festival

After their award-winning debut production, Crocodile, Joyous Gard have teamed up with some fantastic collaborators to bring 3 brand new plays to VAULT Festival 2018 as a celebration of new voices in theatre.

Tiger is a brand new dark comedy about love, friendship, grief, depression, black holes, cheesecake, and how we move forward when the world stops making sense. Joyous Gard, with the support of English Touring Theatre, is proud to present the new play by Joe Eyre (Crocodile, Highly Commended Winner, VAULT ’17), directed by Will Maynard (Blavatsky’s Tower, Baron’s Court Theatre).

‘See Al, a black hole is a big scary thing, and it’s tough when you’re in one. But what you can do then, folks would sell out Yankee Stadium to see’.

It’s a new year, and Alice and Oli need a new flatmate. When a man dressed as a tiger knocks on the door, Alice decides that the spare room is his. Alice’s life has been turned upside down after a terrible loss, and Tiger (as she calls him) seems to be helping her through it and making her smile. But who is he underneath his costume?

Tiger runs at the Network Theatre, 14-18 February 2018 at 19.45, with a matinée on 18 February 2018 at 15.15.
