The New Cast of Eugenius

The New Cast of Eugenius

The cast, new and returning, has been announced for the eagerly awaited return – by popular demand – of out-of-this-world British musical Eugenius! for a 6-week season at The Other Palace from Saturday 1 September 2018.

Returning to the cast are: Laura Baldwin as Janey, Daniel Buckley as Feris, Scott Paige as Theo and Alison Arnopp as Space Diva/Mrs Truthstretcher.

Rob Houchen joins them in the lead role of Eugene. His West End starring roles include Marius in Les Miserables and Gibran in Broken Wings.

Neil McDermott will play Evil Lord Hector, he is best known as Ryan Malloy in EastEnders, which saw him nominated Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards.

Taking on the role of Carrie/Super Hot Lady, Emily Tierney has played Glinda in both Wicked and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s production of The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium.

Also joining the cast are Alex Bourne as Lex and Simon Thomas as Gerhard/Tough Man, with the voice of Brian Blessed as Space Lord.

Producer Warwick Davis, the legendary Star Wars and Harry Potter actor, said: “We are so thrilled to finally reveal our new cast – we have some of the most exciting young stars who have already played some of the biggest roles in the most successful West End musical hits. They are going to help take our show into another dimension! At the beginning of the year, Eugenius! had a buzz-filled, triumphant 6-week premiere at The Other Palace. Since then we’ve been busy tweaking, tickling, tightening and super-charging the show. So if you missed Eugenius! last time this is your chance to finally see what the buzz is all about. And if you were one of the wonderful, crazy fans who saw it many times, we look forward to welcoming you back again – especially as we have added a new song to the 80s-inspired soundtrack that had audiences on their feet at every performance punching the air and shouting in unison, ‘Go u Eugenius!”

Eugenius! with Book, Music and Lyrics by Ben Adams and Chris Wilkins, is the story of Eugene, a teenage boy whose nightly dreams of a distant world of heroes and villains could be the ticket to him creating his very own comic book movie in Hollywood. Joined on his amazing adventures by best friends Janey and Feris, our comic writing genius finds the superhero within, saves the world from earthbound villains – and those from distant galaxies – and along the way, falls in love!
