Due to demand, the Almeida Theatre has extended Mary Stuart for six performances until Saturday 28 January. Tickets are now on sale for Tuesday 24 to Saturday 28, with a matinee on Saturday, allowing audiences further opportunity to see this critically acclaimed and previously sold out production. Playing both Elizabeth I and Mary Stuart, Juliet Stevenson and Lia Williams trade the play’s central roles, decided at each performance by the toss of a coin.

The full cast for Mary Stuart is Alexander Cobb, Rudi Dharmalingam, Vincent Franklin, David Jonsson, John Light, Carmen Munroe, Eileen Nicholas, Daniel Rabin, Sule Rimi, Juliet Stevenson, Alan Williams and Lia Williams. Almeida Associate Director Robert Icke adapts and directs Friedrich Schiller’s play. Mary Stuart is designed by Hildegard Bechtler, with lighting by Jackie Shemesh, original composition by Laura Marling, sound by Paul Arditti, and video by Tim Reid. Casting is by Julia Horan CDG. The Associate Director is Daniel Raggett.
