2 Become 1 Set to Return to the Kings Head Theatre

2 become 1

2 become 1

Get your butterfly clips, Union Jack print and body glitter ready – 2 Become 1 is an unrelenting party, a self-contained night out with the girls packed with charm, hilarity and good old-fashioned girl power.

Following a sell-out run at two successive Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and a run at the King’s Head in 2016, this year the girls are bringing the party back to London, even bigger and even better, with new songs, new scenes and even more comedy to get under the skin of how we all respond to the perils, pitfalls and that mysterious force that fuels attraction and desire…

It’s the late ‘90s – Titanic, Brad and Jen, Mr Big, Bridget Jones and Things Can Only Get Better have captured every young woman’s heart, but Jess has just been dumped by her perfect man. Bored of her moping and weeping into her Haagen-Dazs, Jess’s friends take her out on A Big Night Out with a twist – speed dating. What better way to unbreak her heart than to meet a man a minute? With an infectious soundtrack of female pop icons of the ‘90s, and a dance routine or two along the way, crack open your Bacardi Breezers and don your best platform trainers to follow Jess, Amanda, Molly and Charlie on a wild night of meeting Mr Wrongs and Mr Rights in this comedy pop-musical.

Inspired by the music they grew up on and the group dynamics of their favourite girl bands, Natasha Granger and Kerrie Thomason invite you to join them from pre-drinks to speed-dates to the takeaway and taxi in this sparkling bubble of 90s nostalgia. With songs from The Spice Girls, All Saints, B*Witched, Cher, Shania Twain, Britney and Christina – and accompanying dance routines, of course – 2 Become 1 not only gets you on your feet and remembering those classic moves… but also exploring the impact of the sexual revolution of girl power and how the way men and women date now has evolved from it.

2 Become 1 is at The Kings Head Theatre 11th – 29th April 2017.
