Snow White at Chickenshed – a magical new musical version of this well-loved fairy tale. Chickenshed’s mammoth production is guaranteed to fill the festive period with heart-warming cheer. Imagine you are in London during the colourful swinging 1960s.

Our heroine, Snow White, questions her privileged background as she tries to find a place for herself in the world. Her castle, in Chickenshed’s imagined world, is a huge mansion in Regents Park, London. Her dad is a not a King but a benevolent banker. Her step-mother not a witch but a beautiful and slightly ‘has-been’ photographic model who regrets losing her youth and can’t bear the presence of her beautiful step-daughter.

And of course, there’s the Magnificent Seven, lovable 1960’s dropouts who live communally in a Scottish forest. In a comedy very much inspired by the zany humour of the period, some very real issues of what true beauty really is emerges Join Chickenshed for a family show with an unbelievably huge cast, a stunning original score and an upbeat message – well, why would you go anywhere else?

Snow White is at Chickenshed 27th November 2019 to 11th January 2020.
