CATS to open at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in Summer 2026 Ahead of Major UK Tour

Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s critically acclaimed production of To Kill A Mockingbird will return for a UK tour in 2019, opening at Curve Leicester on 7 February. Full tour details can be found here.

Produced by Jonathan Church Productions, Curve and Regent’s Park Theatre Ltd the cast is led by Simon Robson in the role of ‘Atticus Finch’.

The role of ‘Scout’ will be shared by Summer Jenkins (aged 10 from London) and Eve Prenelle (aged 10 from London); the role of ‘Jem’ will be shared by Stanley Jarvis (aged 13 from London), Jaxon Knopf (aged 9 from Hertfordshire) and Theo Josse Wilkinson (aged 10 from Sunderland); the role of ‘Dill’ will be shared by Billy Marlow (aged 12 from Hertfordshire), Joshua Pickering (aged 11 from Gloucestershire) Jack Riley (aged 10 from Milton Keynes).

Joining them is Pearl Appleby (‘Mayella Ewell’), Dave Fishley (‘Reverend Sykes’), Joseph Fletcher (‘Arthur Radley’), Kieran Hill (‘Heck Tate’), Alexandra Mathie (‘Stephanie Crawford’/’Mrs Dubose’), Ged McKenna (‘Judge Taylor’/’Walter Cunningham’), John Omole (‘Tom Robinson’), Carl Rice (‘Bob Ewell’), Sarah Tansey (‘Maudie Atkinson’), Paul Woodson (‘Nathan Radley’/’Mr Gilmer’) and Amanda Wright (‘Calpurnia’).

They will be joined by, Erica Birtles, Sophie Cartman, Valentine Hanson and Christopher D Hunt. Music is composed and performed live by Phil King (Luke Potter will perform at certain venues).

Set in the Deep South, Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel sees racial injustice divide a small-town community. With integrity and compassion, lawyer Atticus Finch seeks the truth. His courageous daughter, Scout, brings hope to a neighbourhood in turmoil.

This production of  To Kill A Mockingbird opened Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s 2013 season and toured the UK in 2015 to critical acclaim and sell out performances, including a month-long residency at The Barbican. Proving its success across every art form, the 1960 novel was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, followed by the film adaptation in 1962 which won three Oscars out of the eight it was nominated for.
