Cast Announced for Troilus and Cressida at Shakespeare’s Globe

Shakespeare’s Globe has announced the full cast and creative team for Troilus and Cressida, directed by Owen Horsley in his Globe debut.

This rarely performed satire, set during the Trojan War, runs from 26 September to 26 October 2025 in the Globe Theatre.

The cast includes Oliver Alvin-Wilson as Hector / Calchas, Tilly Botsford as Ensemble / Cover, David Caves as Achilles, Conor Glean as Diomedes, and Kasper Hilton-Hille as Troilus.

       

Also joining the ensemble are Jonathan Livingstone as Agamemnon, Tadeo Martinez as Patroclus / Alexander, Lucy McCormick as Thersites / Helen, and Jodie McNee as Ulysses / Cassandra.

Charlotte O’Leary will play Cressida, with Finn O’Riordain as Ensemble / Cover, Matthew Spencer as Paris / Menelaus, Samantha Spiro as Pandarus / Nestor, and Ibraheem Toure as Ajax.

Director Owen Horsley said:
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be making my Globe directorial debut with Shakespeare’s bold and dynamic take on the Trojan War. Often considered Shakespeare’s most experimental work, Troilus and Cressida unleashes a full-throttle satirical assault on romantic love, hero worship, and political power. With a brilliant cast and creative team, we’re ready to free this remarkable play from the shadows and bring its sharp wit, raw energy, and biting commentary roaring to life.”

The production is designed by Ryan Dawson Laight, with Christophe Eynde as Associate Designer and Roberta Zuric as Associate Director.

Eamonn O’Dwyer joins as Composer, with fight and intimacy direction by Rachel Brown-Williams and Ruth Cooper-Brown for RC Annie.

Movement direction is by Daniel Hay-Gordon, and Emma Woodvine serves as Voice and Text coach.

       

Troilus and Cressida was cast by Becky Paris CDG, Head of Casting at Shakespeare’s Globe.
