Roast Productions has announced that the Off-Broadway hit Dog Man: The Musical will have its European premiere at London’s Southbank Centre from 30 July to 16 August 2026.

Based on Dav Pilkey’s bestselling children’s book series, this hilarious and heartfelt musical is suitable for ages 5 and up. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 5 December 2025 at www.dogman.live.

The show features a book and lyrics by Kevin Del Aguila, music by Brad Alexander, and is directed and choreographed by Jen Wineman. The creative team also includes scenic design by Timothy R. Mackabee, costume design by Heidi Leigh Hanson, lighting design by David Lander, and sound design by Emma Wilk. Orchestrations are by Lloyd Kikoler, with Paul Herbert joining as Musical Director for the European premiere.

Dav Pilkey, author and illustrator of Dog Man, said:
“Dog Man: The Musical surpassed my highest expectations. The performances were beyond brilliant, capturing the heart of every single audience member and leaving everyone, especially me, in complete awe. It is the perfect mash-up of memorable music, humour, and love. I’m so thrilled to hear that the musical will be premiering in London next year. Kids and families are in for a treat!”

Originally produced by TheaterWorksUSA, Dog Man: The Musical premiered Off-Broadway in 2019 and returned to New York in 2023 following popular demand. The production is adapted from several titles in the series, including Dog Man Unleashed and Dog Man: A Tale of Two Kitties.
