The UK’s leading organisation for dance training, creation and performance, The Place, announces the appointment of Dr Tzo Zen Ang and Rosalind Wynn to its Board of Governors. The Board of Governors is made up of a broad range of people from a variety of disciplines and industries. As well as bringing their shared expertise to support The Place’s vision, they are committed to ensuring the growth and future of the organisation.
Tzo Zen has extensive experience in strategic development and change management. As Chief Operating Officer, she implemented the transformational journey of the Royal Academy of Arts, one of the UK’s oldest and foremost cultural institutions, leading to the organisation’s 250th anniversary and major capital redevelopment. Prior to the RA, she worked at the Royal Opera House and the management consultancy McKinsey and Company, where she advised clients across a wide range of industries on organisation and strategy matters. She is a Getty Leader Fellow and holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge where she founded the Cambridge Contemporary Dance company.
Rosalind Wynn is Executive Producer of Gecko and has a wealth of experience in touring small, mid and large scale productions to venues across the UK and internationally. She has worked across many artforms with a large network of emerging and established artists. Prior to her role at Gecko she worked for immersive events company A Taste of Space, interactive theatre company Coney, internationally renowned theatre producing house Fuel and Belluard Festival in Switzerland.
