Edinburgh Fringe Review: The Queen Is Mad at ZOO Southside

Wayne Stewart makes his Edinburgh Fringe debut with Chrome Yellow, a solo show blending storytelling, travel journal entries, and original songs. Running from 1–24 August (excluding 12 and 19 August) at ZOO Southside, this introspective and humorous piece reflects on Stewart’s 650-mile solo walk across France in 2021.

What began as a long walk from Saint-Malo to the Mediterranean evolved into a deeper exploration of meaning, resilience, and human connection. Through vivid character work, movement, and music, Stewart retraces his journey and questions what drove him to undertake it—and what he found along the way.

Presented by ArtHouse Jersey, Chrome Yellow is a raw and honest meditation on doubt, discovery, and the search for purpose. With relaxed and BSL-interpreted performances available, this is a thoughtful and accessible show that invites audiences to reflect on their own paths through life.
