Scenes of a sexual nature, Strong language/swearing

Heartfelt and hilarious, Little Squirt is Australian rising star Darby James’ award-winning musical adventure into sperm donation.

Following Darby’s voyage from Facebook ad to genetic questionnaires, medical screening and psychological evaluations, he’s left afloat in a sea of well…y’know.

Head spinning with existential questions about the absurdities of procreation and the pathways to queer parenthood, Darby finds themselves a seaman stranded in moral purgatory. His ultimate question: should we be having children at all?

With twelve original songs, this one person musical cabaret has already wowed audiences in Melbourne, taking home three prestigious Green Room Awards (Outstanding Production, Outstanding Direction, Outstanding Writing) before landing in Edinburgh for the show and Darby’s international debut.

Little Squirt is written and performed by Darby James (Post, A New Musical – Something Blue Productions; Songs of the Northern River – The MC Showroom Hatchery Sponsorship; Protein – Autonomous Inventions), with direction and dramaturgy by Casey Gould (A Lovely Day To Be Online), and set and costume design by Betty Auhl (When the Rain Stops Falling – Iron Lung Theatre).
