Edinburgh Preview: Lots and Not Lots at Summerhall (Main Hall)

17:45

16+ Extensive periods of blackout

A performance of thrilling extremes: lots of performers, lots of singing, lots of dancing. Choral singing blends with vocal weirdness, while formal patterns of movement transform into joyous line-dancing. The stage continuously evolves in a spectrum of nothingness to fullness, darkness to colour, silence to music as the exceptional young performers question the universe and their place within it.

Lots and Not Lots is created by award-winning performance artist and composer Greg Sinclair.

Originally produced by National Theatre of Scotland as part of Futureproof Festival.

Show creator Greg Sinclair said: “I’m really delighted to be bringing Lots and Not Lots to the Made in Scotland showcase after being postponed for 2 years. In these turbulent times where it seems like adults make all the wrong decisions, it feels more important than ever to see young people on stage and allow their voices to be heard.”

Anna Plasberg-Hill, Engagement Producer, Lyra Young Artists said:“Lyra is delighted to be collaborating with Greg Sinclair and Scottish Theatre Producers on Lots & Not Lots. Our Young Artists are so excited to be making live work again and are thrilled to be part of the Made in Scotland showcase and perform in such an innovative production”.
