After the stunning success of PSS PSS, the multi-award-winning Compagnia BaccalĂ  returns to the Fringe with OH OH. Their exciting new double act show is firmly placed in the history of clowning, attributing back to figures such as Chaplin, Buster Keaton, and Fellini. OH OH is a joyful, wordless performance, combining acrobatics, humour and slapstick.

The incredible Compagnia BaccalĂ  blend contemporary clowning with theatre and circus, mixed with the enthralling characters they create. OH OH is a view into the life of a double act, an encounter between clowning, circus and physical theatre at its best.

Two characters, simultaneously sure of themselves and completely lost, stumble onto the stage as though by accident. Wordlessly, through humour and acrobatics, the duo head on an antic-filled voyage. Compagnia Baccalà’s new show pays tribute to the long history of clowning, refreshing the style without distorting this (dis)honourable tradition. OH OH is an absurdist pas de deux from this world-renowned company returning to Edinburgh after notable global success.

Compagnia Baccalà comment, We are excited for the beautiful opportunity to perform OH OH at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and for the audience that has been waiting for a new création. Here we are! Happy to share again our work with the wonderful and very enthusiastic audience of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival!! PSS PSS continues touring all around the world – and we wish the same success for OH OH.
