First look production images have been released for the Met Opera’s La Traviata by Verdi. This much-loved opera is screening across the UK as part of the famed New York opera house’s Met Opera: Live in HD season, which sees 10 world-class operas broadcast from New York from 2022-23.

La Traviata, screening in cinemas across the UK this Saturday 5th November, stars soprano Nadine Sierra as Violetta, one of opera’s most iconic roles.

Joining Sierra is tenor Stephen Costello as Alfredo and baritone Luca Salsi as Germont. The production is directed by Tony Award-winner Michael Mayer. Soprano Renée Fleming is hosting the live transmission.
