First look rehearsal images are released for Invasive Species, the critically acclaimed semi-autobiographical play by Maia Novi, ahead of its UK première at King’s Head Theatre.

The production, which opens on 5 September 2025 following previews from 3 September, has released first look rehearsal images showcasing the cast in action. The play runs until 3 October.

Netflix star Harrison Osterfield, known for his role in The Irregulars, joins Novi who reprises the lead role. The cast also includes Ella Blackburn, Max Percy and Kalifa Taylor.

Directed by Pulitzer Prize finalist Michael Breslin, Invasive Species explores themes of immigration, identity politics and mental health through dark comedy.

“After a thrilling run in New York last summer, I am excited for London audiences to experience Maia’s hilarious and moving play,” said Breslin. “I am also excited to welcome a new company of brilliant UK actors into the whip smart, electric, and heartfelt world of Invasive Species.”
