Rehearsal images have been released for Our Town, ahead of its Welsh National Theatre debut and subsequent run at Rose Theatre, Kingston, from 26 February to 28 March 2026.

Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece will be staged by a fully Welsh cast and creative team. This production marks the inaugural outing of Welsh National Theatre and stars Michael Sheen as the Stage Manager, directed by Francesca Goodridge with Russell T Davies as Creative Associate.

The all-Welsh cast includes Yasemin Özdemir as Emily Webb, Peter Devlin as George Gibbs, Sian Reese-Williams as Mrs. Gibbs, Nia Roberts as Mrs. Webb, Rhodri Meilir as Mr. Webb, Rebecca Killick as Rebecca Gibbs, Matthew Trevannion as Dr. Gibbs, and Rhys Warrington as Simon Stimson. Joining them are Christina Modestou, Rithvik Andugula, Aisha-May Hunte, Alfie Llewellyn, Kingdom Sibanda, Gareth Snook, Jâms Thomas, Gareth Tempest, and Kimberley Noble.

Director Francesca Goodridge said:
“Bringing Our Town to life with a fully Welsh cast and creative team is a gift. The talent at the heart of this production is perfectly matched with the journeys through life, love, and death the play celebrates within the close-knit community.”

Michael Sheen added:
“This is an incredible opportunity to present a Welsh interpretation of a classic which tours our nation and takes our voice to London, giving Welsh talent a platform to perform.”
