RADA and Trish Wadley Productions have released the first production images for The Hamlet Project, an innovative new staging of Shakespeare’s classic, running 8–13 December 2025 at RADA’s GBS Theatre in London.

Directed by Sinéad Rushe, this bold interpretation divides the role of Hamlet between three actors: Nina Bowers, Max Ferguson and Freddie MacBruce. The cast also includes Gretchen Egolf as Gertrude, Emma Harrison as Ophelia/Rosencrantz, Gareth Kennerley as Polonius/Laertes, and Nathaniel Martello‑White as Claudius.

The production features live music composed by Michael Fox, with sound design by Mike Winship, movement direction by Joeley Gibson and dramaturgy by Yael Shavit.

This week of preview performances launches RADA’s new Residencies programme, which includes wraparound events such as A Conversation with RADA President David Harewood on Reimagining Shakespeare.

Production photography is by Ryan O’Doherty. View the full gallery here.
