Following a smash hit debut run at last year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Underbelly and Three Legged Race productions announce that the five-star, mesmerising and thrill-seeking party, Sophie’s Surprise 29th will transfer to the hottest new venue in the heart of Soho – Underbelly Boulevard.

The biggest party in town promises to bring world renowned circus acts and spellbinding performances to London for the first time with this critically acclaimed production.

Opening 11th April, tickets to the wildest house party you’ll ever go to are on sale now and are available from underbellyboulevard.com/tickets/sophies-surprise-29

There is a limited Early Bird offer running, with stall seats at just £25 for all of April and group rates can be found via the website for the whole season. Keep the party going and indulge in incredible food and cocktails from exciting new restaurant Cafe Kitty, from Kitty Fishers Group, as you celebrate Sophie’s, or your birthday, in style.

Audiences are invited to attend the craziest surprise party where the guests are some of the UK’s most inspiring and dynamic performers on the international circus circuit including La Clique, The 7 Fingers, Cirque du Soleil, and more.

Announced today, the first wave of casting in London is Katherine Arnold, Isis Clegg Vinell and Nathan Redwood Price. Katharine Arnold is an aerialist, choreographer and circus consultant who has worked internationally across live events, cabaret, theatre, film and tv including the likes of Royal Variety Show and Cirque Du Soleil. Nathan Price and Isis Clegg-Vinell present a double act of death-defying roller skating and have travelled across the globe performing for companies including Cirque du Soleil, The 7 Fingers, Cabaret Zazou, Majestique and La Soiree. More to be announced soon.

Katharine, Nathan and Isis said today: “We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing Sophie’s Surprise 29th back home to London, and to Underbelly Boulevard this spring. We had a great run and had such an incredible time in Edinburgh last year, that we didn’t want the party to stop!”

The three cast members also make up Three Legged Race Productions, co-producers on the show. Three Legged Race Productions are an exciting new circus production company bringing together over a decade of experience working at the highest level of circus around the world.

Get in losers, Sophie is turning 29 and we’re celebrating.

This is a house party disguised as circus, comedy and chaos, alongside a pumping soundtrack. Imagine if Cirque du Soleil had sunstroke, The Spice Girls never broke up and Les Miserables was actually Les Happyables. Get your Walkmans, scrunchies and halter tops ready, the party starts April 11. And remember… don’t tell Sophie.

This night celebrates Sophie’s birthday, but who will be Sophie? That’s up to you to decide, as each performance the role is taken on by a willing audience member.
