The full cast has been revealed for the upcoming revival of Cable Street, which returns to London for a six-week run at Marylebone Theatre from 16 January to 28 February 2026.
This bold musical reimagines the historic events of 4 October 1936, when communities in London’s East End united to resist the rise of fascism. With a powerful contemporary score, Cable Street transforms this pivotal moment into an electrifying theatrical experience.
Returning from the original Southwark Playhouse run are Olivier Award nominee Debbie Chazen as Kathleen, Ethan Pascal Peters as Moishe, Max Alexander-Taylor as Sean, Aoife Mac Namara as Orlaith, and Jez Unwin as Yitzhak and Steve.
Joining the cast are Lizzy-Rose Esin-Kelly as Mairead, Isaac Gryn as Sammy, and Barney Wilkinson as Ron. Olivier Award-nominated Preeya Kalidas will appear as Edie/Elizabeth, with Romona Lewis-Malley as Rosa.
Also joining the ensemble are Michali Dantes, Annie Majin, and Natalie Elisha Welsh, who will play Rachel.
Cable Street is composed by Tim Gilvin and written by Alex Kanefsky. Direction comes from Adam Lenson, with musical supervision by Tamara Saringer.
Alexander Gifford, Artistic Director of Marylebone Theatre, said:
“I am delighted that Cable Street is being revived at the Marylebone Theatre. The events it depicts are as relevant now as at any time in the last ninety years. We need this show to remind us of the creeping danger of fascism and how through courageous community it can be overcome.”
Produced by Dylan Schlosberg’s 10 to 4 Productions with associate producer Neil Marcus, the creative team also includes choreographer Jevan Howard Jones, costume designer Lu Herbert, lighting designers Sam Waddington and Ben Jacobs, and set designer Yoav Segal.
Cable Street has previously received critical acclaim, with The Guardian calling it a “dazzling musical portrait of a community against fascism” and WhatsOnStage praising it as “an absolute belter of a show.”
