Paines Plough has announced that the full cast of Consumed by Karis Kelly will return in Spring 2026 for performances at the Lyric Theatre in Belfast and London’s Park Theatre. The production is directed by Paines Plough’s Joint Artistic Director, Katie Posner.

The cast features Julia Dearden (Derry Girls, After Life, Dancing at Lughnasa), Caoimhe Farren (The Ferryman, Derry Girls), Andrea Irvine (Blue Lights, Line of Duty), and Muireann Ní Fhaogáin, making her professional debut.

Consumed will run at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast from 24 February – 8 March 2026, before transferring to the Park Theatre, London from 18 March – 18 April 2026.

Katie Posner said:
“After an amazing sell-out first tour in 2025, this will be two very special homecomings for the show in Belfast and London. We can’t wait to get back into the room (and around the dinner table) with Karis and this incredible cast. Get ready for another party, together we’re cooking up something bolder, juicier, funnier and more dangerous than ever.”

Winner of the Women’s Prize for Playwriting 2022, Karis Kelly’s play is a pitch-black and twisted comedy exploring dysfunctional family dynamics, generational trauma, and national boundaries.

The story centres on a 90th birthday party that no one seems to want, bringing four generations of Northern Irish women together under one roof—a house full of hungry ghosts and more than one skeleton in the closet.

The Spring 2026 remount is presented by Paines Plough, Park Theatre and the Lyric Belfast, in association with Belgrade Theatre, Sheffield Theatres and the Women’s Prize for Playwriting.
