Heading into its sixth year, London’s Aldwych Theatre is home to Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, a powerhouse production chronicling the life and music of the legendary Tina Turner, guided by the talents of Karis Anderson, who plays Tina Turner, and Emma Hatton, portraying the pivotal role of Rhonda, Tina’s manager and confidante.

“For anyone who hasn’t experienced it yet, ‘Tina’ is not just a show; it’s an experience,” Karis Anderson explains. “It’s uplifting, inspiring, and emotionally charged. You’ll ride through every emotion imaginable and leave the theatre feeling uplifted and empowered.”

The allure of Tina Turner’s music is undeniable, and Emma Hatton delves into why it resonates so deeply with audiences. “Tina’s music is universal,” she says. “It transcends boundaries and speaks to people on a profound level. Her voice, her style, her sheer presence – they’re all unforgettable. And in this production, her music intertwines seamlessly with her story, creating a powerful and authentic narrative.”

Stepping into the shoes of Tina Turner each night is no small feat, but for Karis Anderson, it’s a profound honour. “Playing Tina is like stepping into history,” she reflects. “I approach it with reverence and dedication, knowing that I’m carrying on her legacy. It’s a privilege to embody such a trailblazing icon and share her story with the world.”

Emma Hatton echoes this sentiment, emphasising the importance of portraying Rhonda, Tina’s devoted manager. “Rhonda’s role in Tina’s life was crucial,” she explains. “She was more than just a manager; she was a friend, a confidante, a sister. Bringing her character to life on stage is a privilege and a responsibility. I feel a deep connection to Rhonda and strive to honour her legacy every night.”

It’s a celebration of resilience, strength, and the enduring power of music. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of it.”
