Live At Zédel, Soho’s unique live entertainment concept at The Crazy Coqs, announces their Autumn/Winter season.
Produced in partnership with Fane Productions Ltd, Live At Zédel’s Autumn/Winter season programme is, once again, heaving with incredible new talent and established acts from across a whole host of disciplines including live music, musical theatre, cabaret, comedy and spoken word.
Highlights include La Voix Meets… – a series of one-off intimate conversations live on stage with renowned comedian and star of Absolutely Fabulous Jennifer Saunders and Hi-de-Hi! star Su Pollard in October, and television and West End actress Harriet Thorpe in November. Fenella Fielding will return with excerpts from her biography, Do You Mind if I Smoke? and renowned restaurant critic Jay Rayner performs excerpts from his critically acclaimed book, My Dining Hell. Award-winning actress and musical theatre star Janie Dee who is currently appearing in Sondheim’s Follies at the National returns with two shows Janie Dee: Off the Record and Janie Dee: At the BBC in October and the record-breaking West End and Broadway actor John Owen-Jones will play three concerts in December. Fascinating Aida star Dillie Keane will play eight final performances of her Drama Desk Award nominated solo cabaret show in November and, as previously announced, Mad Men star Bryan Batt’s one-man cabaret show paying tribute to his life growing up in New Orleans plays in September.
The Autumn/Winter season which extends into January 2018 will include a three-week season of the London premiere of Dad’s Army Radio Hour featuring double Fringe First Award Winner David Benson alongside Jack Lane, directed by Owen Lewis. Two actors play 25 characters in this brilliant staging of classic radio scripts based on favourite episodes from the classic BBC TV sitcom by Jimmy Perry and David Croft.
