Science broadcaster and author Mark Thompson is set to celebrate a decade of explosive experiments and family fun with the 10th anniversary UK tour of Mark’s Spectacular Science Show.
Named ‘Best Kids Show’ at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Mark’s Spectacular Science Show returns this Autumn with a brand-new tour, bringing Mark’s favourite experiments to audiences across the UK.
You think science is boring? Think again – this is science like you have never seen it before.
Designed for children and adults alike, the show explores the strange and magical properties of matter with exploding elephant’s toothpaste, vortex-generating dustbins and even howling jelly babies.
The Autumn 2025 tour kicks off in Scotland with performances at Forfar Reid Hall (10 October), Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy (11 October), Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock (12 October), Theatre Royal Dumfries (13 October), and Eastgate Theatre in Peebles (14 October).
The tour then travels south with dates at The Spring Arts in Havant (27 October), Quay Arts on the Isle of Wight (28 October), Lighthouse, Poole (29 October), Redgrave Theatre in Bristol (30 October), Blackheath Halls in London (2 November), and The Radlett Centre in Hertfordshire (22 November). Further dates are to be announced.
Before the Autumn leg, the show will appear at Dorking Halls (28 May), enjoy a run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe at the Gilded Balloon’s venue at the National Museum of Scotland (31 July – 10 August), and visit Exeter Corn Hall (30 August).
