Milton Keynes Theatre are launching a brand-new initiative for the individual theatre-goer.
The venues new Solo Nights commence on Thu 25 October during English National Ballet’s visit with their production of Kenneth MacMillan’s masterpiece, Manon.
The hosted events aim to encourage independent patrons, who may not have someone to accompany them, to attend the theatre and meet like-minded individuals.
Promising an enjoyable and entertaining evening, as well as a ticket to the production the new Solo Nights package includes access to a pre-show and interval drinks reception, exclusively for single ticket holders.
For anyone who may otherwise miss out due to not wishing to attend alone, the events hope to break that barrier and offer theatre-goers a great way to socialise, whilst enjoying their favourite productions.
Milton Keynes Theatre Director Emma Sullivan said: “We understand that some of our patrons may miss out on opportunities to see shows due to partners or friends not sharing their same love of theatre. That need no longer be a problem, as we hope to encourage people to feel comfortable in attending the theatre alone, with the launch of our new Solo Nights
“During the pre-show reception we will introduce guests to those they will be seated next to during the performance. It gives them a chance to chat, mingle and meet people who love going to the theatre as much as them.
“We are really excited about this new initiative and hope to schedule in lots more Solo Nights throughout the season. Watch this space…”
The first MK Theatre Solo Night takes place later this month on Thu 25 October.
Tickets for this exclusive package entitles guests to a premium ticket to the production, admittance to pre-show and interval drinks reception, one pre-show drink and one interval drink.
