Mischief Theatre, the Olivier award-winning company behind The Play That Goes Wrong, has today announced the full cast for Magic Goes Wrong, created with magic legends Penn & Teller. This will be the second production as part of Mischief Theatre’s residency at the Vaudeville Theatre, which opens with their new comedy Groan Ups in September 2019.
In the next ‘Goes Wrong’ comedy to hit the West End, the original Mischief company play a hapless gang of magicians presenting a charity event. As the accidents spiral out of control, so does their fund-raising target!
The cast are; Bryony Corrigan as Spitzmaus, Roxy Faridany as Eugenia, Dave Hearn as The Blade, Henry Lewis as Mind Mangler, Henry Shields as Sophisticato, Jonathan Sayer as Mickey and Nancy Zamit as Bear.
The cast is completed by Natasha Culley, Laurence Pears, Sydney K Smith and Liv Spencer.
Mischief Theatre was founded in 2008 by a group of graduates of The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and began as an improvised comedy group. Mischief Theatre performs across the UK and internationally with improvised and original scripted work. Mischief Theatre’s other new production that will be performing at the Vaudeville Theatre is Magic Goes Wrong from December 2019. Mischief Theatre’s current London productions are The Play That Goes Wrong and The Comedy About A Bank Robbery, performing at the Duchess Theatre and Criterion Theatre respectively. The company is led by Artistic Director Henry Lewis and Company Director Jonathan Sayer.
Magic Goes Wrong is produced in the West End by Kenny Wax Ltd, Stage Presence Ltd, Kevin McCollum and J.J. Abrams.
