The Olivier Awards have unveiled their partners for 2026, marking the 50th anniversary of the UK’s most prestigious theatre honours. Cunard joins as Headline Partner, while the BBC will broadcast the ceremony in a prime-time slot on Sunday 12 April.
As Headline Partner, Cunard strengthens its long-standing connection with world-class theatre and the arts. The luxury cruise line brings the magic of the West End to the ocean through its entertainment programme, which includes Olivier Award-winning productions such as Come From Away and Pride And Prejudice (Sort Of), and its London Theatre at Sea voyages. Cunard will also lend its name to the Cunard Best New Musical award.
Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, said:
“Cunard has long celebrated the very best in art, culture and exceptional entertainment experiences, and we are incredibly proud to be the Headline Partner of the Olivier Awards – the UK’s most prestigious stage honours. This partnership reflects our shared passion for outstanding performance, storytelling, and British heritage, both on land and at sea.”
The BBC will broadcast the ceremony in partnership with Penny Lane Entertainment, alongside a special episode of Bargain Hunt featuring Olivier Award winners and nominees, filmed behind the scenes at an iconic West End theatre.
Kash Bennett, President of the Society of London Theatre, said:
“I am thrilled that the Olivier Awards are working with the BBC for our 50th anniversary and that Cunard, stalwart champions of London theatre, will be our Headline Partner. These prestigious partnerships enable us to shine a spotlight on the best of London theatre and the vitality of arts and culture.”
The 2026 celebrations will also include a new partnership with The Observer for enhanced coverage, nominee portraits, and a Nominees’ Celebration at The Londoner, the Official Hotel Partner. Piper-Heidsieck returns as Official Champagne Partner, joined by Famille Perrin, Audi, Edmunds Cocktails, The Ivy and Fortnum & Mason as event partners.
