Pantomime is coming home to Catford and is bigger and better than ever, as The Broadway Theatre, announces that Aladdin is set to fly into town on his magic carpet Fri 12 Dec – Sun 30 Dec.
The Broadway theatre has enjoyed a prodigious festive heritage with panto favourites including John Altman, Keith Chegwin, Lenny Henry, Paul Shane, Shane Ritchie and Lulu to name but a few, gracing the stage. With a star cast still to be announced the theatre looks forward to following this tradition.
Join the fun this Christmas in the enchanting world of Peking where an exciting adventure will unfold. Meet brave Aladdin, the rebellious Princess, the larger than life Widow Twankey and be part of Wishee-Washee’s gang: will these friends foil the Evil Abanazar’s plan?  You’ll have to come along to find out!

Based locally in Deptford, International producers Selladoor, have made a 5 year commitment to work alongside The Broadway Theatre to present the annual Pantomime.
David Hutchinson Executive Creative producer for Selladoor said of this partnership: ‘Our recent focus in producing over Christmas, traditionally a quieter period for us, has seen us working alongside some if the UK’s most celebrated venues such as Blackpool Opera House with large scale collaborations (Peter Pan, Wizard of Oz) and we’re delighted to embark on this long term collaboration with our local theatre in Catford to follow in their rich tradition of presenting an annual family pantomime, moving this long standing legacy onward and welcoming a new generation of festive audiences back to the borough’
