Flugelman Productions present the London premiere of Boxman at Blue Elephant Theatre. Boxman is by Australian playwright Daniel Keene and follows a homeless refugee Ringo. He is a survivor, a child soldier displaced from his homeland, sheltering in a cardboard box in an inner city park. He lives in plain sight but is invisible to the city around him. Inside his makeshift home Ringo lives a life rich with stories and songs of a childhood far away, a family tragically lost and the complicated promise of a new beginning.
Flugelman Productions is taking this opportunity to raise awareness and money for Refugee Council. Refugee Council have been helping refugees for more than 60 years and have a thorough understanding of the difficulties facing people arriving in the UK, having fled war, rape, torture and with unimaginable stories to tell.
