Carl Barron, arguably the most successful and accomplished comedy performer in Australia, is set to make a rare visit to UK soil, bringing his hugely successful new stand up show “Drinking with a Fork” to the Hammersmith Apollo .

For established fans and for those yet to become familiar with Barron’s wry observational style of humour and impeccable physical comedy, this show promises to be a real treat.

Barron’s unique storytelling style allows him to expertly mine his own life and childhood for comic gems.  He was born in Longreach, Queensland, the son of a sheep shearer from the outback and worked as a roof-tiler for 13 years before he moved into comedy and became a national icon with millions of fans worldwide.

In July 2016 Ticketmaster, the largest ticket sales company in the world, rated Barron as Australia’s most popular comedian and as the third most popular comedian worldwide, based on sales of his stand up shows. He is also the highest selling stand-up comedian on DVD in Australian retail history and his last tour sold over 300,000 tickets in his homeland alone.

This rare visit to the UK will give London based Aussies a chance to catch a firm favourite, and gives Londoners who aren’t yet aware of the charismatic stand up phenomenon that is Carl Barron, a chance to discover one of the most accomplished and engaging performers of his generation.
