From Afar at the Travelling Through

From Afar at the Travelling Through

To Agnes, there are few things as sacred as a sealed envelope.  An amusing and touching portrait of a life spent writing letters, From Afar is dedicated to the real-life Agnes.

‘Mum said you could tell everything you needed to know about a person from their pencil case. I always wondered if she did that when she was choosing to marry my Dad, but now I know that isn’t the kind of question I should be asking. Proudly proclaiming to my friends that I was so sure my Dad had a wonderful pencil case probably wasn’t the best thing for a much younger me to do. ‘

Starring Catherine Millsom (Original London Company of Kinky Boots, Mamma Mia! for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Stepping Out UK Tour), with direction and dramaturgy by Ashleigh Packham, From Afar, David Coverdale’s new play comes to the quiet intimacy of the Travelling Through Bookshop for four performances only as part of VAULT Festival 2019.

From Afar by David Coverdale is at Travelling Through Bookshop 6th – 9th March 2019.
