With four ukuleles and penchant for dark comedy, Polly Clamorous brings audiences their latest cabaret: HERSTORY – a 55 minute musical compendium chronicling the tales of some of the most enigmatic and misunderstood women in history.

Through ages and cultures get up close and personal with Lilith; Adam’s first wife who preferred to be on top; Freddie Oversteegen, a teenager who resisted the Nazis with a bicycle and a pistol; and Nelly Bly, the fierce young journalist who feigned insanity in order to write a crushing exposé on the mistreatment of patients at the infamous Blackwell Island Asylum.

HERSTORY brings these stories together, as well as many more, to transcend the edicts of history in this adequately historically-accurate romp through the ages.

HERSTORY is at The Gielgud Theatre RADA on 4th July 2019.
