RABBLE Theatre will celebrate 10 years of new writing in Reading’s iconic Blade.

For 10 years, Reading’s multi-award-winning production company, RABBLE Theatre, have surprised and delighted with their choices of venues and the new plays that they create and produce.

Reading Gaol, Reading Abbey, Reading Minster, to name a few, but this year, as the nationally acclaimed theatre company turn 10, they’ve surpassed themselves by getting permission to perform on the top floor of Reading’s iconic skyscraper, The Blade.

“We’re delighted to be working with RABBLE, who have done so much to bring cultural identity to Reading. Their work in the Abbey and efforts to save the gaol haven’t gone unnoticed by us and we’re excited to welcome them into our space. It should be a fun night.”  Nick Turner, Northwood Investors

RABBLE (as Reading Between the Lines) launched ten years ago with their now iconic new writing event, Off the Block, which has sold out every time. It’s an extraordinary feast of live theatre, featuring four new short plays written in the week of the event that will be performed on floor with the best view of Berkshire that Reading can afford.

“Theatre isn’t a building. Theatre is story-telling and the joy of living through a shared experience and if that experience happens to be on top of a skyscraper, then we think that’s pretty exciting” Toby Davies, Co- Artistic Director & Founder of RABBLE

Once stepping out of the great glass elevator, attendees to the exclusive, one night only event will be welcomed by a complimentary glass of Organic Fizz, donated by Vintage Roots Organic Wine suppliers, and some gorgeous Canapes, before taking their seats for the show.

It looks set to be an unforgettable night of top-quality live theatre, here in Reading.
