The producers of the WhatsOnStage Award-nominated musical Here & Now have announced that Sally Ann Matthews will join the UK and Ireland tour from 23 January 2026. Sally takes over the role of Patricia from Finty Williams, who completed her run in December 2025.
Best known for playing Jenny Bradley in ITV’s Coronation Street, Sally Ann Matthews first appeared in the soap in 1986 and returned as a regular in 2015, remaining until October 2025. Her theatre credits include Mum’s The Word, The Business of Murder, Present Laughter, Killing Time and The Accrington Pals.
Her TV and film work includes Murdered by My Boyfriend, The 4 O’Clock Club, My Mad Fat Diary, EastEnders, Being Human, Song for Marion and Brassed Off.
Sally joins Lara Denning as Caz, Jacqui Dubois as Vel, Blake Patrick Anderson as Robbie, Rosie Singha as Neeta, River Medway as Jem, Chris Grahamson as Gareth, Edward Baker-Duly as Max, Ben Darcy as Ben, John Stacey as Lesley and Lauren Woolf as Tracey. The ensemble includes Georgia Christofi, Kade Ferraiolo, Albert Green, Harry Jack, Casey Jay, Charlie-Jay Johnson, Rosemary Annabella Nkrumah, Dean Rickards, Markus Södergren, Genevieve Taylor and Jessica Vaux. Jack Palmer also joins as Off Stage Swing.
Featuring Steps’ greatest hits, Here & Now has an original book by Shaun Kitchener and is produced by Steps and ROYO with Pete Waterman. It is directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, with choreography by Olivier Award-winner Matt Cole and musical supervision by Matt Spencer-Smith.
Steps are the UK’s most successful mixed-sex pop group, with 14 top five singles, four number one albums and over 22 million record sales. Their hits include Tragedy, Stomp, One For Sorrow and Love’s Got A Hold On My Heart, all of which feature in the musical.
