Stagedoor Launches Ad Lib Podcast Hosted by Kirk Jameson

Stagedoor has announced the launch of Ad Lib, a new theatre podcast hosted by director Kirk Jameson.

Ad Lib features seven lively discussions about the paths taken by some of London’s most exciting performers. Kirk and his guests will chat about mentors, life-changing moments and how each artist’s beginning shaped the career that followed.

The podcast will feature Fra Fee (The Ferryman), Tyrone Huntley (Jesus Christ Superstar), Alice Fearn (Wicked), Harriet Thorpe (Absolutely Fabulous), Lara Denning (Ruthless), Julie Atherton and Mark Anderson (both Grinning Man).

The Ad Lib podcast will be released in seven episodes, available every Wednesday from 21 March on Stagedoor’s website, iTunes, Soundcloud, and your favourite podcast app.

Kirk Jameson, host of the Ad Lib podcast said: “I’ve always been intrigued by what attracts people to a career in theatre and why they stick it out when their expectations are challenged along the road to success. It’s been such a joy to explore the lives of these seven wonderful actors; and to hear how their commitment has led to such exciting work.”

Michael Hadjijoseph, CEO of Co-Founder of Stagedoor said: “We’re delighted to support this series of stories. They’re a fascinating insight into the lives of some of our most interesting performers. The Stagedoor app exists to help people discover beautiful theatre and keep up to date with the artists they love – and we hope these podcasts do the same.”
