Performances of the first-ever stage adaptation of Suzanne Collins’s internationally acclaimed novel The Hunger Games and Lionsgate’s blockbuster film have been extended until 18 October 2026 due to overwhelming demand.

Previews are currently underway at the newly built Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, with the official press night scheduled for 12 November 2025.
Accessible performances include an audio described show on 16 January 2026 at 2.30pm and a captioned performance on 21 January 2026 at 7.30pm.
Mia Carragher stars as Katniss Everdeen, joined by Euan Garrett as Peeta Mellark, Joshua Lacey as Haymitch Abernathy, Tristan Waterson as Gale Hawthorne, Tamsin Carroll as Effie Trinket, Stavros Demetraki as Caesar Flickerman, Nathan Ives-Moiba as Cinna & Mayor, Sophia Ally as Prim Everdeen & Ensemble, and Ruth Everett as Mrs. Everdeen & Ensemble.
John Malkovich appears on screen at every performance as President Snow, creating a unique stage-meets-screen experience.

The Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre is a state-of-the-art, 1,200-seat venue designed specifically for this immersive production, placing audiences in the heart of the action.
The Hunger Games: On Stage has been adapted by Conor McPherson and directed by Matthew Dunster, known for 2:22 – A Ghost Story, Hangmen, The Pillowman, and Hedda.
The creative team includes Miriam Buether (set), Moi Tran (costumes), Charlotte Broom (choreography), Lucy Carter (lighting), Ian Dickinson for Autograph (sound), Tal Rosner (video), Chris Fisher (illusions), Kev McCurdy (fight direction), Suspended Illusions (flying), James Maloney (music), Amy Ball CDG (casting), James Robert Moore (associate director), Robyn Grant (creative assistant director), Luke Smith (associate set designer), and Lloyd Thomas (production manager).
Set in a dystopian future, The Hunger Games: On Stage follows Katniss Everdeen as she becomes a symbol of rebellion in a brutal televised battle for survival.
The production is presented by Oliver Royds, Tristan Baker and Charlie Parsons for Runaway Entertainment, Isobel David, Timothy Laczynsii and Umeda Arts Theater, in association with Lionsgate.
