After being crowned 2017 Oldie of the Year and appearing in the first two series of Jack Dee’s critically-acclaimed sitcom Bad Move,  ninety-three year old star Thelma Ruby returns as Golda Meir in Momma Golda, this renowned adaptation of William Gibson’s Golda.

Adapted by Thelma Ruby and Peter Frye, Momma Golda is the story of Israel’s first and only female Prime Minister, otherwise known as ‘the grandmother of the Jewish people.’ Performed all over the world by Ruby and Frye for eight years from 1980 to 1988, this strictly limited four performance run promises to be a spectacular evening’s entertainment.

This new production of Momma Golda will be directed by Sarah Berger, and performed by Thelma Ruby and William Teller. Sarah Berger is the producer and artistic director of the So and So Arts Club, the executive producer of the Women and War Festival, and recently directed Macbeth for the Kyrgyzstan State Academic Theatre.

Momma Golda is at The King’s Head Theatre 3rd, 4th, 11th and 12th November 2018.
