Will Young returns to the stage in Manchester next February in this major new production of Song From Far Away by Olivier Award winner Simon Stephens and Mark Eitzel.

One crisp winter day in New York, Willem receives a phone call – it’s time to go home.

Home to Amsterdam – to estranged family and forgotten relationships. As he reflects on his life, unwilling to face the future, he finds himself reaching out to the brother he has lost.

“It was then that I decided to write you these letters.”

Song From Far Away is an unforgettable story and a personal letter to those left behind.

Starring multi award winning singer/songwriter and actor Will Young this powerful one-man show is his first live theatre role for a decade.

Written by Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night–Time) and Mark Eitzel, this emotional homecoming is directed by the acclaimed Manchester based Kirk Jameson and co–produced by Thomas Hopkins, Guy Chapman and HOME.

Garnering critical praise from across the media when premiered at the Young Vic in 2015, this exciting new production of Song From Far Away is a unique opportunity to experience a scintillating performance from Will Young, one that is certain to be a highlight of Manchester’s theatrical calendar in 2023.
