Due to overwhelming demand, an additional performance of the record-breaking UK premiere of Ride The Cyclone will take place at Southwark Playhouse Elephant on Tuesday 6 January 2026 at 2.30pm. Tickets go on sale this Saturday.

The musical, written by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell, began performances on 14 November 2025 and runs until 10 January 2026. Ride The Cyclone broke Southwark Playhouse’s record for most tickets sold within 24 hours and has received glowing reviews.

The cast features Edward Wu (Kim’s Convenience) as The Amazing Karnak, Baylie Carson (Mean Girls, SIX) as Ocean, Grace Galloway (Priscilla The Party, Blood Brothers) as Jane Doe, Robyn Gilbertson as Constance, Damon Gould (Cabaret, Newsies) as Noel, Bartek Kraszewski as Mischa, and Jack Maverick as Ricky. Completing the cast are Nathaniel Purnell (Shucked, The Time Traveller’s Wife) and Rebecca D’Lacey (The Rocky Horror Picture Show).

Darkly funny and wildly imaginative, Ride The Cyclone follows six teens who perish in a freak rollercoaster accident and find themselves in limbo, offered one last chance at life. Each steps into the spotlight to prove why they deserve it, in a genre-defying journey through big dreams, dark secrets, and what makes life worth living.

The production is directed and choreographed by Lizzi Gee, with musical direction by Ben McQuigg, set and costume design by Ryan Dawson Laight, lighting by Tim Deiling, video design by Nina Dunn for PixelLux, sound design by Tom Marshall, illusions by Richard Pinner, and casting by Harry Blumenau.
