This October, the West End will shine even brighter as An Evening of JOY takes over the historic Actors Church in Covent Garden for a spectacular one-night-only charity concert.

Taking place on Sunday 19 October at 7pm, the event will raise funds for The Joy of You CIC, a charity supporting women overcoming grief and trauma.

Hosted by cabaret star and Drag Idol UK champion Karla Bear, the evening promises unforgettable performances from some of the West End’s most celebrated talents.

Audiences can look forward to appearances from Claire Moore (Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Les Misérables), Drew Jaymson (Mamma Mia, Taboo, Jesus Christ Superstar), and English National Opera baritone Alaric Green.

Musical direction comes from Matt Smith, whose credits include Dear Evan Hansen, School of Rock, and Ain’t Too Proud. The programme will feature a mix of West End favourites and George Michael classics.

Guests will be treated to English sparkling wine and artisan macarons before the show, with the chance to win exclusive raffle prizes.

These include tickets to Magic Mike Live (plus a signed cast poster), Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, HERE & NOW (The Steps Musical UK Tour), and Cabaret.

Also up for grabs is a VIP one-to-one experience from Charlotte Tilbury Covent Garden.

Every ticket and raffle entry will support the work of The Joy of You CIC, founded by Sophie Dodds in 2022 following the sudden loss of her father.

Through free monthly clinics, Sophie offers semi-permanent makeup services to women affected by trauma, including those recovering from breast cancer, chemotherapy, domestic abuse, and bereavement.

Her mission is to restore confidence and empowerment to women during their most difficult times. Funds raised from An Evening of JOY will help open a new London branch, expanding the charity’s reach.
