New backstage images by Emilio Madrid have been released ahead of the final two weeks of Interview, currently playing at Riverside Studios until 27 September 2025.

The production stars Tony Award winner Robert Sean Leonard (House, Dead Poets Society, The Gilded Age) and Paten Hughes (A View From the Bridge, Stolen Girl, Heirloom) in the world premiere of a new stage adaptation of Interview, a seductive two-hander psychological thriller exploring truth, persona, and gender power.

Adapted and directed by Teunkie Van Der Sluijs, Interview has been described as “a compelling piece of theatre” (Lou Reviews) and “an excellent adaptation that has fully adapted to the modern era” (Theatre and Tonic).

Katya (Paten Hughes), a fiercely intelligent influencer turned movie star, is tired of being underestimated and misrepresented by journalists—especially male ones. When fading political journalist Pierre Peters (Robert Sean Leonard) is assigned to interview her, he arrives bitter and dismissive. But Katya has her own reasons for agreeing to the encounter.

A tense evening in her New York apartment spirals into a volatile game of confession, confrontation, and manipulation. In an era where every screenshot can go viral, nothing is off the record.

The production features scenic design by Tony Award-winner and Olivier nominee Derek McLane, costume design by Bernat Buscato, lighting by Jackie Shemesh, music and sound by Ata Güner, and projection design by idontloveyouanymore (Anna West and Davi Callanan).

The creative team also includes associate designer Ben Davies, associate director Zoë Templeman-Young, and movement and intimacy director Christina Fulcher. Casting is by Julia Crampsie CDG and Wayne Linge for Crampsie Linge Casting.

Interview is general managed by Smart Entertainment and produced by Tony Award-winner Douglas Denoff, with co-producers Jane Bergère, Eric Falkenstein, Kevin Kinsella, Willette and Manny Klausner, Alexander “Sandy” Marshall, Sausan Palmer Marshall, and Broadway Rainbows.
