The Belgrade Theatre Coventry has unveiled its exciting 2025 Autumn/Winter season, featuring a diverse array of in-house and co-productions. Highlights include Consumed, After Sunday, and the return of the award-winning pantomime Sleeping Beauty.
Consumed, a collaboration with Paines Plough, Sheffield Theatres, and the Women’s Prize for Playwriting, tells the story of four generations of Northern Irish women. This production will preview at the Belgrade on July 25-26 before heading to the Edinburgh Festival and returning to Coventry from September 3-6.
After Sunday, co-produced with the Bush Theatre, explores the lives of Ty, Leroy, and Daniel in a medium-secure hospital. This new play, written by Sophia Griffin and directed by Corey Campbell, will premiere from October 10-25.
The season also includes the Marlowe Theatre’s The Party Girls, running from September 9-13, and Ordinary Decent Criminal, starring Mark Thomas, from November 4-8. Additionally, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical will be staged from October 14-18.
Artistic Director Corey Campbell and CEO Laura Elliot expressed their excitement: “We are pleased to continue our commitment to co-creation, producing new shows with Paines Plough and Bush Theatre. We look forward to welcoming audiences to the Belgrade Theatre this season and beyond!”
