Blue Fondue has announced a strictly limited five-week UK season of JE L’AIME, an intimate immersive theatre experience welcoming just 20 guests per performance.
Running from 9 October to 14 November 2026, the production unfolds inside a contemporary London home, where audiences are invited to take part in what initially appears to be a neighbourly gathering.
Guests are welcomed with a drink and light bites before discovering the true reason for the celebration. Liv and Vic are marking their wedding anniversary, but as the evening progresses, it becomes clear that not everything in their relationship is quite as it seems.
Written by award-winning writer and performer Tristan Bernays, created with Sophie Larsmon and founded by Ilma Tiki, JE L’AIME blends immersive and promenade theatre with a story that moves through memory, imagination and multiple versions of the past.
Conversations take place across English, French, Hindi and Esperanto, while the boundaries between remembered events and present experiences become increasingly uncertain.
The production explores themes of love, culture, memory and perception, drawing inspiration from quantum mechanics to examine how two people can experience the same life in profoundly different ways.
As food cooks, drinks flow and karaoke beckons, the evening begins with warmth and familiarity before gradually shifting into something more unsettling. Guests are drawn deeper into Liv and Vic’s world as questions emerge about which memories can be trusted and whether any single version of events can truly be considered reality.
Designed as a complete evening rather than a standalone performance, the 70-minute show is accompanied by food and drink, with audiences invited to remain afterwards for a second drink, pizza and conversation, creating an experience lasting approximately two hours.
The production begins its run in South London before moving to West London near Notting Hill for three weeks, concluding its final week in East London on the edge of London Fields.
JE L’AIME asks audiences to consider a simple but profound question: if two people can live through the same moment yet remember it differently, whose version of the truth do we believe?
