The true and inspiring story of Trooper Patrick Fowler, cut off from his regiment and hiding in a wardrobe behind enemy lines, to be brought to life in a concert development of the brand new musical, Wardrobe.
Alex Wadham is to take on the role of Trooper Patrick Fowler following on from his recent performance in The Full Monty and The Mousetrap, along with West End regulars Sarah Louise-Young (YANK!; Showstoppers), Jonathan David Dudley (Wicked; Chess; Book of Mormon) and Cameron Sharp (School of Rock; Rock of Ages; Jesus Christ Superstar)in a concert version of the brand new musical which brings the harrowing story to life. The cast is completed by Lauren Soley (Les Miserbales) and Helen Power (Sunset Boulevard; Phantom of the Opera).
After hiding in a cupboard for 4 years during WW1, the incredible story of Trooper Patrick Fowler is about to come to life in a brand new stage show. A concert version forms part of the Armistice 100 Years celebrations at the Sands Film Studio.
Hiding from enemy capture in a Wardrobe in a little village in France, the home of Madame Belmont-Gobert, the story takes an incredible twist into the lives of the villagers and soldiers of the time. The original wardrobe that concealed Fowler is still in existence and forms part of the Imperial War Museum collection.
The show is produced by Mr Millerman Presents, the same company to bring YANK! to the Charing Cross Theatre in Summer 2017.
The piece has been in development for the past year and will be making its public debut as a concert performance on Sunday 4thNovember at the Sands Film Studio, tickets available here.
