Presented by Phil McIntyre Live, the critically acclaimed production of Fawlty Towers – The Play is set to embark on a major UK and Ireland tour from September 2025 to July 2026. Following a successful West End run, this beloved comedy will bring its hilarity to audiences across the country.

The cast for the tour includes Danny Bayne as Basil Fawlty, Mia Austen as Sybil, Hemi Yeroham reprising his role as Manuel, Joanne Clifton as Polly, Paul Nicholas as The Major, and Jemma Churchill as Mrs Richards. The play also features Greg Haiste, Emily Winter, Dawn Buckland, John Hasler, Adam Elliott, Neil Stewart, Josie Brightwell, Ashleigh Harvey, Ben Jacobson, Matthew Gordon, and Raymond Rose in various roles.

John Cleese, who co-wrote the original TV series with Connie Booth, has adapted three of his favourite episodes into a two-hour play. The episodes include ‘The Hotel Inspector,’ ‘The Germans,’ and ‘Communication Problems,’ complete with a new finale. Directed by Caroline Jay Ranger, the production promises to deliver an evening of laughter and nostalgia.

John Cleese expressed his excitement about the tour, saying, “I’m thrilled with the top-class group of comedy actors that we’ve assembled for the UK tour of Fawlty Towers – The Play which begins in September. September also marks exactly 50 years since the first ever TV episode was broadcast on the BBC. I never thought that all these years later the stage show would get the reception that it has. But here we are, still making theatres rock with laughter.”

The tour will visit major cities including Bromley, Eastbourne, Bournemouth, Wimbledon, High Wycombe, Manchester, Liverpool, Northampton, Southend, Plymouth, Guildford, Leeds, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Sunderland, Wolverhampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Southampton, Ipswich, Birmingham, Bradford, Blackpool, Torquay, Truro, Milton Keynes, Llandudno, Hull, York, Woking, Nottingham, Norwich, Cardiff, Newcastle, Dartford, Oxford, and Dublin.
