Casting has been announced for the fourth extension of Paranormal Activity, which returns to the Ambassadors Theatre in the West End from 11 August 2026.
The stage adaptation of the hit horror franchise will star Ty Fanning as James, Ami Okumura Jones as Lou, Kirsty Bushell as Etheline Cotgrave and Pippa Winslow reprising her role as Carolanne.
Written by Levi Holloway and directed by Punchdrunk founder Felix Barrett, the production blurs the line between cinema and theatre, delivering an intense and immersive supernatural experience.
Described as a “relentlessly frightening – arm-clutchingly, stranger-embracingly so” show by Metro, the production has built a reputation as a must-see event for thrill-seekers.
Inspired by the original films, the story follows James and Lou, who move from Chicago to London hoping for a fresh start.
Their new home soon becomes the setting for unsettling events, as they discover that “places aren’t haunted, people are”.
The West End run follows a successful premiere at Leeds Playhouse and an earlier London engagement, as well as an ongoing international tour that includes dates in North America and a forthcoming Broadway season.
The creative team includes Fly Davis as set and costume designer, Chris Fisher handling illusions, Anna Watson as lighting designer, Gareth Fry as sound designer and Luke Halls as video designer.
Casting is by Stuart Burt CDG and Ginny Schiller CDG, with Anna Marshall serving as associate director.
With its intimate staging and psychological tension, Paranormal Activity promises audiences a chilling theatrical experience that lingers long after the final moment.
