The Atkinson has announced full casting for its 2026 family pantomime Cinderella, which runs in Southport from 4 to 31 December, with tickets on sale now.
Produced by KD Theatre Productions, the festive favourite promises dazzling costumes, spectacular sets, live music, audience participation and plenty of laughs for audiences of all ages.
After three years as Southport’s much-loved pantomime dame, Terry Burns returns to The Atkinson in a new role as one of Cinderella’s outrageous Ugly Sisters. The production marks his 11th pantomime with KD Theatre.
Terry Burns said: “I absolutely love Christmas in Southport and there is nowhere quite like The Atkinson. The audiences here have supported me year after year and have made every panto so special. After three years as the Dame, it’s time for a change and I’m delighted to be causing mischief as one of the Ugly Sisters. I promise plenty of laughs, lots of bad behaviour and don’t worry dads, I’ll still be on the look out for another husband!”
Also returning to Southport is Gregor Duncan, fresh from appearances in The Choir of Man, who will play the lovable Buttons.
Making her professional stage debut in the title role is Tamara Stehfest as Cinderella, joined by KD Theatre favourites Joe Churms as Prince Charming and Lacey Creed as Dandini.
Ferdinand De Leon, known for Disney’s The Lion King, will bring the magic as the Fairy Godfather.
Completing the cast is James Stirling, recently seen in the new musical Freaky Friday and also known for Zog and the Flying Doctors. He joins Terry Burns as the second Ugly Sister, creating what promises to be a hilariously wicked double act.

Running throughout December, Cinderella continues The Atkinson’s popular annual pantomime tradition, combining classic fairy tale magic with local humour and festive fun for the whole family.
